The Cloud 44-A is the only active ribbon mic with switchable Voice/Music response curves for controlling proximity effect. This patent-pending technology includes a switchable interface that gives you two frequency response voicings that are quite useful across a wide range of recording situations. Vocalists and voiceover artists can use the "Voice" setting to immediately reduce boomy proximity effect from being close to the microphone. It&＃39;s also great for reducing rumble or vibration noise present when capturing an instrument at close range. Of course, there are times when you&＃39;ll want full-range bass response of the "Music" setting. Either way, the Cloud 44-A&＃39;s switchable interface gives you a microphone with two distinct voices, letting you deploy the special sound of a ribbon microphone on a variety of new sources.
Cloudlifter technology, for pristine, transparent gainThe phantom-powered Cloudlifter technology onboard the Cloud 44-A provides you with gobs of pristine, totally transparent gain, which turns any preamplifier into a "ribbon" pre. And when you&＃39;ve got extra-long cable runs, the Cloudlifter is a real lifesaver. The Cloud 44-A requires phantom power and has an output level compatible with any modern preamp. Included is the Cloud U1 shockmount, a beautiful handcrafted wooden box and a microfiber mic cover, designed to properly store and clean the microphone.
